Commitment to family...

Bardin Hooks was born and raised in Americus, Georgia, and his family has lived in Sumter County for eight generations.  He is the son of former State Sen. George Hooks and the late Mrs. Gail Hooks of Americus.  Bardin is married to Hayden Headley Hooks, who works as an attorney specializing in public education law.  Bardin and Hayden are the proud parents of a son, George, born October 2017, and a cocker spaniel named Lettie.  


Commitment to Community...

Bardin has been an active member of the local community throughout his life.  He was an enthusiastic member of Boy Scout Troop 21 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  He is currently a member of the Americus Rotary Club, a board member of the Americus Housing Authority, and a past member of the Americus-Sumter County Hospital Authority.  Bardin and his family are members of Calvary Episcopal Church in Americus, where he serves on the vestry and as a lay minister.


Commitment to professionalism...

Bardin is a partner in the law firm of Arnold & Hooks, LLC in Americus.  He is a graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia.  Before entering private practice, he began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia.  Professionally, Bardin serves as a member of the State Bar of Georgia Disciplinary Board, which investigates attorney misconduct and disciplines attorneys who violate the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct.  He has been awarded an AV Preeminent status for his legal work – the highest peer review rating established by Martindale-Hubbell.
